FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What types of yoga sessions do you offer?
I offer a range of tailored yoga sessions, including therapeutic yoga, general yoga and meditation classes for all levels, as well as specialised programs for corporate environments and senior communities. Each session is designed to promote physical well-being, mental clarity, and overall balance.

Meditation is a mental practice that involves focusing one’s attention and awareness on a particular object, thought, or activity to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state. During a meditation session, individuals usually sit quietly in a comfortable position, often with eyes closed, and engage in various techniques aimed at promoting relaxation, mindfulness, and concentration.

These sessions can vary in length, from just a few minutes to several hours, depending on personal preference and available time. Some common types of meditation practices include mindfulness meditation, concentration meditation, loving-kindness meditation, and guided visualisation.

Yoga therapy is a holistic approach to preventing and healing imbalances in your overall well-being which could include chronic back pain, grief, stress, anxiety, sciatica etc. It combines ancient wisdom with modern science to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to enhance resilience, prevent health issues, recover from illness, and effectively share these practices with others. In our sessions, we focus on balancing the 10 domains of well-being: awareness, feeling, words & thoughts, movement, breathing, senses & lifestyle, nutrition, relationship, life meaning, and habits & change.

Yoga therapy sessions target individual physical, emotional, or mental health concerns with personalised practices including breathwork, movement, and dietary adjustments. They aim to prevent or alleviate symptoms and promote overall well-being.

Yoga classes, in contrast, focus on postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to cultivate peace and improve general physical fitness, flexibility, strength, and relaxation. They cater to groups with varying levels of experience and fitness goals, offering a standardised approach.

Yoga therapy sessions are highly personalised, addressing specific imbalances or health issues based on the client’s unique needs, abilities, and goals. Meanwhile, yoga classes follow a more generalised format, offering a set sequence of practices without individual tailoring
